“Music and arts education is a fundamental pillar of our European identity and a right for every child.”

As a convinced European, I am driven by the belief that music and arts are our joint language—one that every child in Europe deserves to speak. I am part of the EMU to ensure that our sector’s value is recognized and championed at the highest levels. My goal is to foster a powerful, unified yet diverse voice within the EMU, creating platforms where we bundle our collective strength to shape the future of music and arts education together.

I want to position the EMU as the leading voice for music and arts education in Europe. By initiating strong alliances with partners, I aim to maximize the EMU’s impact on the EU level—ensuring that our music and arts schools remain a strategic priority for a resilient, diverse, and creative future for the next generation of Europeans.

Expertise & Focus

Strategic Leadership & Governance
Over 23 years of experience managing the regional music and arts school system in Lower Austria (60,000 students and 500+ municipalities). Currently coordinating the EMU’s member association, KOMU, in Austria.

Advocacy & European Visibility
I am dedicated to positioning the EMU as a vital stakeholder in the European educational landscape. My focus is on strengthening collaborations within and beyond the sector to ensure our members’ interests are represented in cultural and educational policies at all levels.

Research & Evidence-Based Advocacy
As a researcher at the mdw (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna), I established the field of music and arts school research. Through Erasmus+ projects and publications, I contribute the academic foundation and data needed to support and amplify the EMU’s arguments on the international stage.
