Eesti Muusikakoolide Liit – The Estonian Music School Union is a non-pro-fit association for music schools and music school directors. It is a strategic partner of the Ministry of Education and Research in the field of music. The board consists of three to six members elected by the general assembly. The office is organised without permanent staff and consist of four volunteer members.

The Estonian Music School Union’s tasks include communication and coordination with its members, coordi-nation of partners at national level, further training for music school teachers and directors, organisation of national youth competitions, and places a special emphasis on the development of pedagogical standards. The regional asso-ciations’ tasks are communication and coordination with its members, organising regional youth orchestras and regional youth competitions, and advocacy for music school educa-tion on a regional level.
